Biographies
Christine pursues a wide range of creative, musical projects; while her passion is in chamber music, she also devotes her time towards teaching, social media management, and solo opportunities.
Most recently, Christine joins the faculty of the University of Washington School of Music as Artist-in-Residence to teach undergraduate chamber music and has been featured on Seattle’s Classical King FM radio with Archipelago Collective.
As soloist, Christine recently performed with Christian Baldini and the Camellia Symphony with a performance of the Schumann Concerto, and as part of her engagement with the symphony, had the great joy of meeting and teaching a masterclass for the local cello students in Sacramento. Christine has enjoyed performances alongside exciting artists like Gil Kalisch, Ian Swensen, Tessa Lark, David McCarroll, and Dimitri Murrath.
Christine is a founding member in the Bay Area-based ensemble L’arc Trio, who recently commissioned a brand-new work entitled “Ominous Machine” by the trail-blazing composer Vivian Fung. In 2017, Christine was selected as one of two Fulbright Fellows for musical studies in Paris and studied with the renowned French cellist Michel Strauss. During her studies in Paris, she made her solo debut at the Reid Hall and had the great privilege of performing for over 600 Fulbright Scholars and Nobel Laureates for the 2018 Fulbright Seminar in Berlin. She holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the Juilliard School and her teachers include Bonnie Hampton and Richard Aaron.

“(…) immediately displays her sensitive artistry in Scriabin’s Fantasie in B Minor, Op. 28, with expansive sweeps
across her keyboard… Voltersvik shows a natural affinity for Prokofiev`s spiky music (…)” Holly Harris on CD
“Neo”, Winnipegfreepress newsletter, May 2022
«(…) your performance (of the Grieg Ballade) compares favorably with the best of them» William H. Halverson,
American Grieg scholar, March 2023
