The SYRINX DUO was founded in 2006 and it is composed of two musicians from Liguria (Italy): the flutist Michele Menardi Noguera and the clarinettist Luca Sciri. Their purpose is to deeply explore ... the musical literature for this particular lineup. The duo has already held many concerts with increasing success and some composers such as Pino Briasco , Marco Lombardi and Roberto Cittadini have dedicated to them some of theircompositions. They also have collaborated with the italian state broadcaster RAI.

The concert is developed in two parts: The first in which are explored original pieces of the nineteen century : The american Villa Lobos and Muczynski, the french Rivier and some pieces of Tedesco and Menardi. The second part is dedicated to rearranged soundtracks for this kind of musical lineup. The Syrinx Duo will include, in some occasions during the concert, a third instrument: the harmonic disc, a tuned idiophone made of tempered steel with a round shape, whose acoustics conjour up warm, embracing oriental atmospheres. The compositions in the program are intriguing from the point of view of the timbric effect, and also the colourful combinations, the personalities, in a certain way complementary, of the three instruments confront each other, they converse, contrast each other, and merge together in the pleasure of making music.

Born in Finale Ligure MICHELE MENARDI NOGUERA started to study the flute with M. Salvatore Scarlata and he continued with M. Ubaldo Rosso in the public conservatory "G.F. Ghedini" in Cuneo where he brilliantly graduated in flute (2007) and in flute teaching (2009). He attended masterclasses with the Masters Gustin, Alfano, Pretto and Baiocco. In 2007 he graduated in Arts, Music and show disciplines at the university of Turin. He attended a masterclass in "intuitive music" with Masters Markus Stockhausen and Tara Bouman and a music teaching course ("kodaly method") with M. Mauro Scappini. He contributed for several years to the the organisation of the musical season "Percorsi sonori" at Finale Ligure; the music festival “Musica in Alto” in Grana Valley (CN); he is Presidente of the “Società dei Concerti” by which he organizes the winter festival “Pomeriggi Musicali”.

He participated to several RAI programs and he plays regularly in different chamber lineups: Duo Syrinx; Ensemble Mistralia folk quintet and he also has created a show with the pianist Ivana Zincone ans his father Flavio Menardi Noguera (images, viseos, texts, poems... and musical compositions for flute and piano). He has recorded a CD with the Syrinx Duo with musical compositions of the nineteen century for flute and clarinet; one for the musical association "Rossini" with the complete plays for flute and piano of W.A. Mozart and one with the Mistralia Quartet dedicated to the new interpretation of some famous musical compositions of the popular tradition.

He contributed at the realisation of the DVD of the region Liguria "Stelle di Liguria". He is devoted to the interpretation of original and innovative musical compositions for flute of contemporary authors and to the discovery of rare or forgotten pages of the past. He boasts first italian executions of musical compositions of contemporary authors. He is the regular flute teacher at the public comprehensive institute with musical course of Albenga I (sv).

LUCA SCIRI obtained the second level academic degree in clarinet with distinction at the musical conservatory "N.Paganini" at Genoa under his mentor professor G. Laruccia. In this istitute he expanded and strengthened his chamber repertoire, also thanks to the suggestions of Master M Damerini. He then attended courses of important clarinettists such as W.Fuchs, R. Crocilla, D. Zauli and R.Parisi for the bass clarinet. He also has a degree in performer "Licentiate", obtained at the Trinity College of London.

He often takes part in concerts for important musical festivals playing with different ensembles. In international contests concerning chamber music he has distinguished himself by winning various competitions for interpretation. He plays regularly with the ensemble Mistralia with the flutist Michele Menardi Noguera, thw saxophonist Roberto Rebufello and the pianist Leonardo Ferretti, in the contemporary music duo "syrinx" with the flutist M.Menardi Noguera. He took part to live concerts and to Cd recordings much appreciated by the critics witb the pianist R.Zegna and the gropu from Savona The Duet, which last album "La stanza delle marionette" , had a great opinion from the famous jazz musician G.Gaslini. He also is a clarinet teacher at the comprehensive institute with musical course of Albenga I (sv)

In 2001, FRANCESCO TEDESCO conciliating his big music passion with his electronic studies, he entered the world of music production, dealing with writing, composition, arrangements and sound mastering of pop songs and electronic music. In 2003 he took part in a contest organised by an austrian label, open to all european music producers: he won it and he started a partnership with this label which then led him to work with new labels such as the german ZYX, the italian Self and the Austrian Universal.

The songs were noticed by different authors and music labels, so in the following years he worked with the major Italian and european labels of dance music, such as Time, Ocean Trax, Ego, Saifam, Blissco and Smilam. Although he had an important commitment in this sector, as he is a 360° music lover, he decided to follow other roads working in 2009 at the composition and production of epic- gothic songs published onTwilight Records. In 2014 he discovered the Handpan, a idiophone made for the first time in Switzerland in 2000. This instrument made him explore the different timbric and communication possibilities that can be obtained with the execution of the different discs. He constantly collaborates with the Duo Sirinx composed by the flautist Michele Menardi Noguera and the clarinettist Luca Sciri.
