Certainly, when you have the priviligue to have a voice like Eilsa Esposito and also know how to use it,

the temptation to include highlights from the opera litterature is difficult to oversee, so we didn´t, and blended the concert also with solo piano pieces.

Biographies

The Italian soprano, Elisa Esposito graduated in 2021 with distinction from the "Achille Peri" in Reggio Emilia, under tutelage of Sonia Ganassi. She has previously studied with Bruno Praticò and Elena Bakanova. She made her debut in 2013 in Rigoletto at the theatre of Casalgrande in Reggio Emilia.

She has since had many operatic performances at festivals such as “Savona Festival”, “Ferstival in Asti” and “Montecatini Opera festiva”, where she sang roles such as Annina in La Traviata by Verdi and Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi by Giacomo Puccini.

Together with her duo partner Roberto Cancemi, they won a prize in the Winterreise competition in Moscow, which gave them the opportunity to tour in Europe. In 2020, Elisa won the third place of Cadenza Contest and since then she has been engaged in many concerts with music by Ennio Morricone.

The award-winning pianist Roberto Cancemi is one of the up-and-coming pianists from Italy. His passion lies with chamber music, lied and opera. He holds a position as accompanist for singers at the Conservatory “Achille Peri” in Reggio Emilia, Italy.

He graduated with highest marks in 2017 and has since then been working as a pianist for different vocal competitions and masterclasses. Together with his duo partner, the soprano Elisa Esposito, they won a concert tour in Europe in the “Winterreise” competition 2021.

As a solo pianist, Roberto has performed all over Italy and taken part in many masterclasses with great teachers such as Andrei Gavrilov, Leone Magiera, Roberto Giordano, Enza Ferrari, Gioacchino Gitto, and Manuel Burgueras Garcia.
