MARIANGELA VACATELLO is an internationally acclaimed concert pianist, recognized for her passion, technical ability and magnificent musicality. Ms. Vacatello started playing the piano at the age of four.
After graduating from the "Incontri con il Maestro" International Piano Academy in Imola, and the Milan Conservatory of Music, she completed the Postgraduate Performance Course at the Royal Academy of Music in London in 2008. She is the winner and finalist of numerous prestigious international prizes and awards such as Van Cliburn International Piano Competition 2009, First Prize Top of the World International Piano Competition 2009, Laureate Prize at the Queen Elisabeth International Music Competition in 2007, and many more.
Born in Naples, Italy, Ms. Vacatello made her official debut at the age of fourteen, performing Liszt's First Piano Concerto with the Pomeriggi Musicali Orchestra in Milan. Since then, she has appeared as a soloist in the most prestigious venues and festivals worldwide, including the Berlin Konzerthaus, Wigmore Hall in London, Festival Radio France in Montpellier, Weill Hall at Carnegie Hall in New York, Bargemusic in NY, Walt Disney Hall in Los Angeles, and many others.
Ms. Vacatello has collaborated in chamber music with a variety of artists, as well as Orchestras in Europe, America and South Africa. Her performances have regularly been broadcast by prestigious radio stations in France, Italy, Australia, and the U.S.
She has recorded the “Trascendental Etudes” by Liszt, and the “Etudes” by Debussy for the international label Brilliant Classics. In 2016, she published the Complete Piano Works by A. Ginastera.
Mariangela Vacatello is the piano professor at "G.Briccialdi" Conservatory in Terni, Italy.
