||MANUELA MATIS graduated with music performance degrees in both the violin and viola. She also obtained a Chamber Music Certificate issued by the Academy “S.Cecilia” in Rome under the supervision of Felix Ayo.
Manuela has performed in piano quartets with Pier Narciso Masi and Bruno Canino, and in duos with Filippo Faes and Marco Vincenzi.
She is an experienced soloist on both the violin and viola, and has enjoyed having the opportunity to perform as a soloist with a number of orchestras.
Between 2001 and 2003, she made a complete performance of J. Brahms’ chamber music, performing all piano quartets, quintets and sextets.
In 2009, she performed the “10 Beethoven Sonatas for violin and piano” with Alberto Magagni. She has also won several competitions with the “Athenaeum Piano Quartet.” (www.quartettoathenaeum.it).
Manuela has a long teaching career that includes a tenure at “C. Monteverdi Conservatory” in Bolzano, Italy, where she is involved in projects about R. Schumann, F. Busoni, and 20th century music. She also gives masterclasses in Italy, Spain, Portugal, Turkey and Romania.
|PATRICK DHEUR became a concert performer with the highest distinctions at a very young age.
He has been invited as a soloist by numerous orchestras such as the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, the National Orchestra of Belgium, and the Philharmonic Orchestra of Hong Kong, among others.
His discography includes 20 CDs, among them being a collection of the complete works for piano of César Franck, which will be distributed by Sony Classical. The recordings also include the “Rotarian Symphony,” recorded by the orchestra of the Royal Opera of Wallonia.
Patrick is passionate about teaching, and is regularly invited to give masterclasses at the Academy of Vienna, and several American universities. In addition, he is the author of a literary work entitled “Music at the end of the fingers,” available in French and Chinese through Luc Pire publication.
Patrick’s plans for the 2016/2017 season include concerts in Belgium, France, Italy, China and the USA, with a concert in San Diego, California, and Carnegie Hall in New York on November 16th.
