BIOGRAPHIES  

ENCORE PIANO TRIO is a vibrant classical ensemble that consists of three young musiciansestablishing their role in the Norwegian classical music environment.

The violinist, PATRYCJA BLASZAK was born in Poland, where she graduated with distinction the Nowowiejski Academy of Music. She came to Norway to studywith prof. Detlef Hahn and Bjarne Magnus Jensen, and was also granted a two-yearinternship in Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra. Among her latest achievements are solo performances with orchestras in Norway and Poland, leading a string quartet in the concert for Maestro Krzysztof Penderecki, 2nd prize in Young Musicians Competition in Barletta and summer scholarship Strings Across the Atlantic in New York City.

MAREK BIENKUNSKI is a cellist educated with distinction in Poland and Norway with professors Andrzej Bauer, Bartosz Koziak, Aage Kvalbein and Audun Sandvik. He is a laureate of several international competitions, took part in many international festivals in Poland, Germany, Norway and Sweden learning from acclaimed professors such as Peter Bruns, Torleif Thedeen, Gary Hoffman and Jens Peter Maintz. He is regularly cooperating with Oslo Filharmonien, Norwegian Radio Orchestra, Trondheim Symfoniorkester, Goteborgsoperaen and many more. As an ensemble the musicians played their debut concert in Oslo Opera House (2017) and are “nominated ensemble” in European Chamber Music Academy. The trio has good results from competitions and have received mentoring from acclaimed chamber music professors such as Hatto Beyerle, Johannes Meissl and Vebjørn Anvik.

The pianist EIRIK HAUG STØMNER, born in Halden, Norway, 1993, started playing the piano with Elisabeth Giske andPer Anders Hegre at the age of 9. He finished his soloist diploma at the Norwegian Academy of Music with the Norwegian Radio Orchestra (KORK) in the spring of 2018. His teachers have been professors Einar Henning Smebye and Marianna Shirinyan. He has played concerts all over Europe, and also visited the Grieg in Bergen festival last year, together with tenor Eirik Grøtvedt.
